Making
anything
possible.
Elyse works in whatever medium a piece demands — always chasing the edges of what she knows how to do.

“I just like to make stuff — the material is almost beside the point.”Read more about Elyse →
Elyse Renae is a Holland, Michigan artist and maker who refuses to pick a lane. From cosmetology and murals to woodworking, sculpture, resin, textiles, furniture, miniatures, gifts and home remodels, her work is driven more by curiosity than medium. If there’s a way to make it by hand, she’ll probably try it.
Painting & Illustration
From Delft-style painting on leather to large-scale print work for local institutions.
Sculpture & Builds
Three-dimensional work that plays with form, surface texture, and the surprise of what clay can hold.
Textile & Fiber
Weaving, stitching, and surface design — fabric as a canvas with its own stubborn, beautiful rules.
Whatever's Next
The list keeps growing. If there's a material she hasn't tried yet, that's reason enough.
01
Chase the unfamiliar
Every project starts with a pull toward something new — a material she hasn't touched, a technique that feels just out of reach.
02
Let the material teach
Clay cracks, fabric resists, paint bleeds. She listens to what the material wants to do, then negotiates with it.
03
Push until it breaks (then fix it)
The best results come right at the edge of failure. That's where the interesting work lives.
